RAE'S FX FACE PAINTING, PERTH, WA
Frequently asked questions. Have you a question that's not listed here?
Email me or connect with me on Facebook I'd love to hear from you...
What type of face paints do you use?
I only use professional, FDA approved, cosmetic grade, water based makeup and face painting products. The brands I use are TAG, GLOBAL, CAMELEON, FACE PAINTS AUSTRALIA and WOLFE face paints. These paints are designed to be used on children and adults. They dry to a soft powdery comfortable finish on the skin and are only wet again when reactivated with moisture. It is important not to use any type of paint that is not specifaclly designed for the skin in order to avoid allergic reactions. I only use safe products and adhere to hygenic practises.
Are face paints easy to remove?
Yes. Just like makeup, it's best to remove the design before bedtime. Lather some mild facial soap or tear free shampoo into your hands. Gently apply directly to the design. Wipe the colour away with a warm damp (dark) wash cloth and rinse with warm water. Trace shadowing can occur on some skin types. Gently rub with a cotton ball dipped in baby oil or moistouriser (make up remover works well too), leave for 30 seconds and wash again. If proving persistant, please do not scrub the skin. Allow the moisturiser to work overnight and repeat the process in the morning.
How do I make a booking?
You can email me at [email protected], phone me on 0431 891 298, connect with me on facebook or use the Contact Me form on this website. To avoid disappointment, please book as soon as you know when you will need me. Please let me know the date and time, how long for as well as the type of event and location. This will allow me to get back to you as quickly as possible. I will work on weekends and weekdays.
What suburbs do you cover?
I face paint all over Perth, mainly the metro area. Living in Morley I service NOR and metro areas, however I am always happy to travel further SOR or to wherever I'm needed. Please contact me to discuss this in more detail.
How long will we need you for?
This will depend on the size of your event and how many people you expect will be wanting makeup. I can generaly paint 12 -15 faces in an hour, this is average for most professional face painters. This proivdes memorable faces and also allows for transition times between children (or adults). This number can be increased if only simplistic, quick and limited work is required. A two hour booking is recommended for most average parties. If you are organising a fete or fair please give me a call and we can discuss your needs, if we need more than one painter one of my lovely colleagues will come and paint with me. A thing to remember about large gatherings, the fun and excitement of face painting can get diluted by long waiting times and huge lines so please review your approx numbers and book more than one painter if needed, this keeps everyone happy :-)
Do you need us to provide you with anything?
While I'm face painting all I require is a small area to set up. Preferably not right in the heart of all the activity, but at your discretion. Outside or inside is ok, I just ask that I have shelter from the sun on hot days and out of the rain and wind on cold days. I will provide all of my own gear including a chair and table. I will arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the appointment to ensure I am set up and ready to get painting right on time.
How can I pay you?
Cash on the day is sufficient. If you prefer, we can organise a bank transfer. If paying in this way, it will have to be organised prior to the event. Cheques will not be accepted. At this stage I am not requesting deposits. However I would really appreciate sufficient cancellation notice as I will be turning other prospective bookings down in order to hold your booking time and date.
Do you only do facepainting?
I am so happy to say I am now offering pregnant belly painting. This is a wonderful experience and provides treasured memories for expectant Mums. It can also make a perfect personal gift for someone you know. Designs are uniquely tailored to your requests. Please contact me to discuss the possibilties and the specifics of what you have in mind. The price for this service would be different to my usual rates.
I also have experience in body painting. I've painted competitively and won. I've painted clients for specific events and I've painted just for the pure enjoyment of it. Please let me know what ideas you might have.....
*** Happy to announce I am now offering balloon twisting and glitter tattoos for your party bookings! ***
